A Phoenix Burning

Happy Fourth of July!!!

I wish you all a fabulous Fourth!  Enjoy your families and friends, and eat and drink well!  And while you’re at it, say a prayer in your hearts and drink a toast (or two, or three….) to those who made, and continue to make, our Independence Days possible.  May God Bless America…Heaven knows we need all the help we can get.

And for all you thirty somethings out there, a little step back in time.

  1. Um, to be technically correct, Schoolhouse Rock came of age with us 40 somethings, but I LOVE those. They were “current” for over 20 years. When I was in 8th grade, our History teacher required us to recite the Preamble to the Constitution and he allowed us to “sing” it if need be. Of course, 98% of us did the Schoolhouse Rock version. Point is…today, I can still “recite” the Preamble to the Constitution.
